How Furrish Works
What is Furrish?
Furrish is a unique constructed language made entirely from real animal and furry sounds! Unlike other "furry languages" that just modify English words, Furrish uses actual animal noises like wøøf, börk, mröw, råwr, nyä, and pürr to create a completely alien-looking language.
The Translation System
The translator uses a greedy matching algorithm that converts English to Furrish in this order:
- Whole Words First — Common words get unique furry translations (e.g., "hello" → "wøøf-wøøf")
- Trigrams — 3-letter combinations (e.g., "the" → "wøøf", "and" → "pürr")
- Digrams — 2-letter combinations (e.g., "th" → "ðä", "oo" → "üü")
- Singles — Individual letters (e.g., "b" → "börk", "m" → "mröw")
- Punctuation — Special furry punctuation (e.g., "!" → "!!! owo", "?" → "??? uwu")

Perfect Reversibility
Every Furrish translation can be converted back to English with zero information loss! The system uses:
- Hyphen-joined tokens (e.g., "wøøf-börk-råwr")
- Unique mappings (no duplicate values)
- Greedy longest-match decoding
- One-to-one punctuation rules
This means you can translate English → Furrish → English and get back exactly what you started with!
